A large part of the region of Sobrarbe falls within the three natural sites which protect its ecological value: the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park; the Posets Maladeta Nature Reserve; and the Sierra y Cañones de Guara Nature Reserve. Another option is to visit nearby towns and villages, including Aínsa itself, where a stroll amongst its cobbled streets and elegant monuments takes visitors back to medieval times. In Boltaña one can lose oneself among the streets of the region’s largest old quarter. Bielsa is another attractive locality very close to neighbouring France; and the La Fueva valley, made of small towns and villages remains untouched by tourism. In the Chistau valley, the villages preserve the customs and traditions which have survived the passing of time.
